Chowan Discovery's First NC Civil Rights Marker

May 2021: The Sons and Daughters of the United States Middle Passage presented Marvin Tupper Jones with the Crispus Attucks Service Award in 2021. Sons & Daughters of the United States Middle Passage (SDUSMP) is a lineage society for descendants of individuals enslaved in English colonial America and the United States of America from 1619-1865. It is dedicated to preserving the memory of freed and enslaved ancestors. Marvin thanks the nominator(s) and all of those who made this award possible.
